Picket to highlight Prison Conditions

Republican Sinn Féin are holding a picket tomorrow, Saturday July 5th, at the GPO in Dublin to highlight the ongoing situation that Republican prisoners face in Maghaberry, Magilligan and Portlaoise jails. It starts at 12.45pm and will finish at 1.45pm As can be seen from last weeks events, the prison situation is critical and it is only a matter of time before it erupts into violence. Prisoners have already undertaken Hunger Strikes in protest at the conditions they are forced to live in and will do so again if their demands are not addressed. If anyone is in town tomorrow they should come over and show their support even if for only a few of minutes. |
