; )

Really enjoyed the pictures. Democracy & Sunshine at its finest! Will spread the word about this. Worth joining the Speakers Square mailing list for news and updates on:-

(as already provided by you)

Hard to believe that Dublin (/Ireland?) has not had a speaker's arena since the 50's. Capitalism & the power-mongers have done well. But democracy is fighting back.....

it was good

i dont know why the times said there were several hundred there? ( i hate the word several its so vague) there could have been about a hundred through the whole day plenty.... wasn't so sure about multiple speakers at the same time...

lots of people passing through stopped to listen aswell as there who turned up specifically so it was good....

hopefully it will become more varied even i enjoyed the speakers that were spoke....

In case anyone had any doubts that ANYONE can get get up and speak (I found the list of speakers on the website a little off putting) Rossa, the main organiser responded to my enquiry thus:-

"All alowed to get up and speak including you. the more that turn up to talk the more alive the speakers square will become. Please come along and choose a spot and get speaking this week and every other week."

Great initiative indeed.
