Connolly house opens its doors!

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Friday February 23, 2007 23:42author by Paula Geraghtyauthor email mspgeraghty at yahoo dot ie Report this post to the editors

Images from the launch of Connolly House, home of the Communist Party of Ireland, on Essex St. tonight!
connolly_books008.jpg

Doors were opened to all and sundry tonight as Connolly House showed off its new look. Slide shows, sandwiches, music, poetry and the odd interesting story was shared as the incredible new facilities were displayed. Coffees and glasses of wine and guinness got spilt in the good natured jostling- the place was jam packed. Frances Devine (Siptu) recited some poetry, Eric Fleming an official also from Siptu was seen, sporting and playing a guitar.

Eugene McCartan welcomed all from many different political organisations and none and expressed a desire that the newly refurbished premises continue in that vein. Some images of some of the heads who there!

The Left obviously had a great night in their new fitted out offices. Lets have some real alternatives from these people who call themselves communists.

What about demanding a syndicalist state within the trade union movement where everyone is equal and paid according to their abilities and not upon how much licking you can do for and to the Bosses.

The Siptu members at the PARTY recited poetry and played the guitar and wished they were getting the same salary as the Siptu leaders.

Early Days.
