Ireland's Women Only Festival

A weekend of learning, discovery, celebration and fun for women of all ages.

Join the 5th annual reunion of women on their journey to wisdom at the Wise Woman Weekend May 8th-10th, 2009 in Dromahair, Co Leitrim.

Connect with old friends and like minds as we celebrate the Celtic festival of Bealtaine, a season when life is bursting with the power of potential.

Leave behind the ordinary and come learn of the traditional wisdoms, remember our heritage as women, and honour the feminine.
All events will take place in the transition town of Dromahair, 17km from the transportation hub of Sligo and in the heart of Yeat’s country. Dromahair is in the Green Box Eco Tourism zone and EU flower certified accommodation is available.

The weekend opens Friday evening at Ard Nahoo Eco Retreat under the full moon in the Wise Woman Mandala. Community singing groups from Galway and Sligo will provide a welcome and you are free to join in as we gather in the energy of the weekend through music, dance, song and ritual.

During the weekend women from the Secwepemc First Nations band from Canada will demonstrate their pow wow dances and teach us how they work with the The Medicine Wheel.

The weekend includes the ever popular Wild Woman Vegetarian Banquet and Open Mic Social, a Standing Women Visualisation to save the world and closes with a Bealtaine ritual lead by Amantha Murphy.

A weekend pass is €140. Gift certificates are available. All the details are at www.wisewomanireland.com including a carpool. Or call Alex at 071 964 3963.

The Wise Woman Weekend is a self supporting, not for profit event organised by volunteers.
