During winter, wind power fell by 11% and gas came to the rescue, pushing up prices to eye-watering levels. On some days the windmills produced almost zero. This is why energy prices are sky high, says Chris Morrison.

Attendees at an Easter Commemoration in County Fermanagh were assaulted by the RUC whilst leaving the event. The commemoration, which had been organised by the Republican Movement, was held in Roslea on Easter Monday.

A spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin explained that whilst those in attendance were leaving, many were threatened and some physically assaulted by the RUC. The ringleader was RUC Sergeant Gareth Boyle (Number 2316).

“This followed a massive operation by British Crown Forces both before and during the commemoration. Martin McGuinness, who spoke in Roslea on Easter Sunday, and Seán Lynch from Fermanagh claimed that they would go into the RUC to 'put manners' on these people. Clearly they have failed.”

The RUC don't exist anymore so is this all imaginary or historical?

Hi Realist!

"The RUC don't exist anymore so is this all imaginary or historical?"

I think it's "imaginary" to say that that force "doesn't exist anymore" -
"Name of the police in Northern Ireland.— (1) The body of constables known as the Royal Ulster Constabulary shall continue in being as the Police Service of Northern Ireland (incorporating the Royal Ulster Constabulary)."
From here -

That they 'continue in being' would seem to be the 'realist' position , I think.

Thanks!
Sharon.
