China's claim to 'climate leadership' is a geopolitical manoeuvre to counter Trump's narrative, not a pledge of emissions cuts, says Dr Tilak Doshi. Expecting China to join the West's economic self-sabotage is delusional.

Ohio man arrested for cutting grass in his local park.

category international | miscellaneous | other press author Tuesday June 02, 2009 16:28author by Susan Boyle Report this post to the editors

"a tale of human interest, rules, citizenry & the material from which vigilantes are wrought"

Sandusky is a small city of about 70,000 citizens which is in the news because John Hamilton (48) tired of the unkempt grass in his local park decided to mow it himself & when he refuse to desist at the suggestion of the police, they arrested him and are charging him with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct.

He was also inspired it seems by Carty Finkbeinerthe mayor of nearby Toledo city Ohio who spends his time off cutting the grass in his local parks. Which is probably a good thing for many of his constituents, when he is at work he makes suggestions like housing the deaf and hearing impaired community next to the airport to reduce noise complaints.

"I was only trying to save the city some money," said Hamilton to FOX 8 in Cleveland. As Hamilton was cutting the grass, city workers attempted to stop him, showing him a list of lawns they were going to cut, including the one he was mowing. Hamilton told the worker to go cut another lawn while he finished cutting the one in Sandusky Central Park.

A similar incident happened in Dun Laoghaire (or that area) a few years back.

A group of Hare Krishna people decided to clean up the local area as a way of being "Socially Useful".

They swept the streets (in their robes) and picked up litter for a few days...and did a great job.

The local council street cleaners became alarmed and objected to these "Do Gooders" and "Scabs" and "Blacklegs" working for nothing and taking away their jobs.

The Hare Krishna people had to stop and go back to chanting their Mantras!

So Ireland can be just as insane as America.
