Today, August the 27th members of the Niall Fagan/Thomas Allen Cumann Contae na Mhí, held a picket in Navan town centre, for two hours, to highlight the rising problem of unemployment in the area.

Speaking at the picket Peter Fitzsimons said:
"The rising level of unemployment in Navan, and in county Meath, is quite alarming. Navan in particular has been hit hard by the economic downturn and it will only get worse unless the local authorities do something about it".

"I have constantly called on the local council and the local developers in the area to start up employment programmes to get people back working, for example, a derelict building could be transformed back into a usable building and put back into the public mainstream. Projects such as this would be invaluable to the local people."

Republican Sinn Féin in county Meath will be holding a series of pickets around the county, to highlight the problem, and the next picket will be in Trim on the 3rd of September.

Of course because by you saying that they will sudenly be able to pull jobs out of thyeir asses.

How about you develope this property then so or provide the funds considering local councils are in debt? Dont RSF as a political party have a responsibility beyond merely standing outside buildings asking for what cant be done?

the activities and articles being put on here by SF / RSF and their cohorts really smacks of desperation by parties who have no real political ideas or ability
