Dumb and Dumbest

Every step this government takes drags us further towards the economic abyss. If you’ve seen the film Dumb and Dumber, you’ll understand the economic policy of Fianna Fáil much better. Lloyd and Harry, the heroes of the film, accidently came into possession of a lot of lolly and rapidly blew it on a lavish but unsustainable life style. The pair adopted Charlie Mc Creevy’s maxim “If I have it, I’ll spend it” with a vengeance, rapidly emptying their suitcase full of money and replacing it with a bag load of I.O.Us. One scene in the movie is particularly apt. The boys are broke after yet another misadventure. Turning to his demoralised buddy, Lloyd proclaims: “Harry, we are in a hole and we have just got to dig ourselves out of it.” This is exactly the same strategy the FF-led coalition is pursuing to get us out of the economic mess they got us into in the first place. |

Will people stop refering to this Govt. as incompetant! Ive bein hearing this from the disenfranchised people of Ireland for so long
its not real. If you were a Bondholder in Anglo would you consider them Incompetant? A Developer? Solicitor? Barristor? Hospital Consultant? or
anyother of the country's Elite class for who Reccession is something they might hear mentioned on the news on "the 19th hole"
"They don't know what their doin" ? I hear this line from the people most effected by what's happenig all the time?
This Govt and indeed the FF cartel have no problem with people thinking there Honest but STUPID!!!!
When the people realise that there Dishonest and WE are the ones that are STUPID is when they will begin to worry
I know its only a figure of speech but it portrays a myth thats been planted in the Irish Pscyhe for too long now
People wil forgive "stupidity" over "corruption" always.FF will always be comfortable wearing the Dunce's hat.
If i was too hear that Cowen,Harney,Callely,Ahern,Prof Drumm,Seany Fitz ro any of the Golden Circle were to lose there HOMES!
Then I would Queastion there Competantcy. I wont hold my breath
They know EXACTLY what there doin. Their Shaftn you and your family so there Bondholder buddies and Prof Class associates are protceted.
And the Rich stay Rich no matter how Stupid theyve been.
But you have to admit the Cowen 'n' Martin dig-in has echoes of Ollie Hardy and Stan Laurel; with Gormley as the hapless fall guy.
But they are not smart animals, just typical obedient, subservient, compliant flunkies, following the wishes, stated or not, of the masters of the market.
Shrewd and cunning, yes. My definition of intelligent would not include them without considerable stretching of margins.
This pair of Liars spent far too much time trying to oust another Liar they actually took their eye off
the ball , thats why the fiscal figures are gone with the wind .
