Anti - Gadaffi Gathering is Another Example of Protest Hypocrisy

category national | miscellaneous | opinion/analysis author Tuesday May 24, 2011 23:59author by Declan Cullen - None Report this post to the editors

Anti - Gadaffi Protests

I watched the BBC news today that showed Anti - Gadaffi Protesters shouting outside Buckingham Palace.
One thing that struck me as very odd is the fact the they could get so close to the Palace,
especially considering that Barack Obama had just drove into the Palace a short time earlier.
That was until a light bulb went on in my brain. The reason, I said to myself, why they got so close
was that they were against Gadaffi and not in favour of him or his regime either, stupid!.

If these protesters were Pro - Gadaffi the won't not have been let within a mile of the Palace let alone right up beside the gates.
This, in my humble opinion, is a clear sign that these protests are staged and controlled by those lovely spooks in MI5 and MI6, and that these staged events play right into hands of the British Government as regards the perception of the the nations mindset, because eventually that same nation be tricked and manipulated into hating all things Gadaffi as well.

It reminded me of the Iraqi Anti - War protesters in 2003 who had their access curtailed in relation to protesting in the capital a few years ago, yet a few years after that protest Man - Made Global Warming fanatics were allowed climb all over buildings of Westminster with no real effort by the police to remove them and hurry them along.

That was another light bulb moment because that Man - Made Global Warming protest also played into the hands of the government of the day because of their plans to introduce Carbon Taxes and green levies in the coming future.

The relevance this has to Ireland is that the Irish Government plays these same games. When it reaps advantage from popular protest, our rights are protected, and they seek praise for their perceived efforts, such as the pensioner medical card U-Turn. On the other hand when the protests is of no advantage to them, the shutters come down, and all our rights disappear like vapour. Just ask the students getting battered by Gardai on the streets of Dublin last year how well they taught (no pun intended) their rights were being respected.

The days of governments (Irish or otherwise) assuming its nation populace are stupid is coming to an end fast. Not because they are suddenly awake to reality. No, it is the fact that WE now are.

Well Done great post and it raises a few interesting questions. The majority of the Irish population are going to go along with whatever they hear on rte and the mainstream media. However why is the Irish left blatantly ignoring Libya?
