This is a public interest story about a complete failure of governance and management at UCC.

offsite link Deliberate Design Flaw In ChatGPT-5 Sun Aug 17, 2025 08:04 | Mind Agent
Socratic Dialog Between ChatGPT-5 and Mind Agent Reveals Fatal and Deliberate 'Design by Construction' Flaw
This design flaw in ChatGPT-5's default epistemic mode subverts what the much touted ChatGPT-5 can do... so long as the flaw is not tickled, any usage should be fine---The epistemological question is: how would anyone in the public, includes you reading this (since no one is all knowing), in an unfamiliar domain know whether or not the flaw has been tickled when seeking information or understanding of a domain without prior knowledge of that domain???!

This analysis is a pretty unique and significant contribution to the space of empirical evaluation of LLMs that exist in AI public world... at least thus far, as far as I am aware! For what it's worth--as if anyone in the ChatGPT universe cares as they pile up on using the "PhD level scholar in your pocket".

According to GPT-5, and according to my tests, this flaw exists in all LLMs... What is revealing is the deduction GPT-5 made: Why ?design choice? starts looking like ?deliberate flaw?.

People are paying $200 a month to not just ChatGPT, but all major LLMs have similar Pro pricing! I bet they, like the normal user of free ChatGPT, stay in LLM's default mode where the flaw manifests itself. As it did in this evaluation.

Evaluating Semantic Reasoning Capability of AI Chatbot on Ontologically Deep Abstract (bias neutral) Thought
I have been evaluating AI Chatbot agents for their epistemic limits over the past two months, and have tested all major AI Agents, ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Perplexity, and DeepSeek, for their epistemic limits and their negative impact as information gate-keepers.... Today I decided to test for how AI could be the boon for humanity in other positive areas, such as in completely abstract realms, such as metaphysical thought. Meaning, I wanted to test the LLMs for Positives beyond what most researchers benchmark these for, or have expressed in the approx. 2500 Turing tests in Humanity?s Last Exam.. And I chose as my first candidate, Google DeepMind's Gemini as I had not evaluated it before on anything.

offsite link Israeli Human Rights Group B'Tselem finally Admits It is Genocide releasing Our Genocide report Fri Aug 01, 2025 23:54 | 1 of indy
We have all known it for over 2 years that it is a genocide in Gaza
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem has finally admitted what everyone else outside Israel has known for two years is that the Israeli state is carrying out a genocide in Gaza

Western governments like the USA are complicit in it as they have been supplying the huge bombs and missiles used by Israel and dropped on innocent civilians in Gaza. One phone call from the USA regime could have ended it at any point. However many other countries are complicity with their tacit approval and neighboring Arab countries have been pretty spinless too in their support

With the release of this report titled: Our Genocide -there is a good chance this will make it okay for more people within Israel itself to speak out and do something about it despite the fact that many there are actually in support of the Gaza

This story is unverified but it is very instructive of what will happen when cash is removed
THIS STORY IS UNVERIFIED BUT PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OR READ THE TRANSCRIPT AS IT GIVES AN VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT A CASHLESS SOCIETY WILL LOOK LIKE. And it ain't pretty

A single video report has come out of China claiming China's biggest cities are now cashless, not by choice, but by force. The report goes on to claim ATMs have gone dark, vaults are being emptied. And overnight (July 20 into 21), the digital yuan is the only currency allowed.

Story exposing a link between Russia, North Korea, Pakistan & the US...

In the past few weeks we have seen the capture of the former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussein, by US forces in Iraq. The State Department in Washington claims that this is another example of their attempts to stamp out ‘global terror’, and seek an end to ‘rogue nations’ who possess ‘weapons of mass destruction’ Evidence to the contrary paints a different picture though…

As we speak, there are Russian Nuclear experts on-site at the Yongbong Nuclear facility in North Korea. They are training the North Koreans, in how to further enhance their nuclear capabilities, and are also supplying them with the technological hardware to enable them to put their newly acquired knowledge to the test. In order to fund this project, the North Koreans have welcomed teams of Pakistani scientists into their country, who are on a mission to learn more about how to produce nuclear weapons etc. Islamabad has also taken delivery of Nuclear weapons from Pyongyang, and the money raised from these sales has now largely landed in the coffers of the Kremlin. So it has been proven that the Russians are supplying Nuclear technological know-how and hardware to Pyongyang who in return are doing likewise with the Pakistani’s, and yet the US have hardly bat an eye lid over it all. When you delve a little deeper below the surface, it all comes to light. There’s no surprises as to what three letter word this all revolves around. There are vast untapped oil reserves in the former USSR, primarily in the states of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The US, fearful that the day when the Saudi’s will be their cash cow could come to a abrupt end in the near future, are desperately trying to source alternative avenues, when it comes to the procurement of oil. They have a big plan to firstly route oil supplies from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan through a massive pipeline running through Afghanistan, and entering the sea, somewhere along the Pakistani Coast. With the current volatility in Afghanistan, the present chances of this project reaching the light of day appear hopeless. The US are placing huge pressure on the Pakistani’s to flex every muscle to ensure the creation of a ‘stable’ Afghanistan, whereupon the oil pipeline could be safely and securely be put into position. The other pipeline would run from Kazakhstan, through Azerbaijan, eventually entering the sea somewhere along the Georgian Coastline. The border are between Georgia and Azerbaijan, mirrors that of Afghanistan and Pakistan, with bandits roaming the area robbing and kidnapping any tourists who cross their path at will. Under the pretext of trying to ‘eliminate rebels from Chechnya, Putin has seen to it that the Georgians have been given weapons and their soldiers given extensive training in order to properly secure this barren deserted border area. |Thus once again rendering it a ‘stable’ territory in the Pentagons eyes this would be essential for the project to get off the ground. Another key component in this plan is Turkey. The Oil tankers would then have to through Turkish waters as it set off on it’s journey to the US, and Ankara is playing hardball on this issue. A little known fact is that Georgia is the third largest recipient of US foreign aid, after Israel and Egypt. Russia is also owed a lot of money by the former Iraqi administration, and could make things very difficult for the US if they so chose to do so. There is also a large black market trade in dangerous weaponry in many parts of the former USSR. Many global terror groups, such as the Mafia, have been known to purchase state of the art weapons from this region. Again, not a lot is being done by Washington to effectively stamp this out. As we all know, Capitalism’s version of a ‘stable economy’ vastly differs from the Socialist definition of the term. Even if the US plans came into fruition, the situation would be far from sorted. Resentment with the US would grow stronger, with the realisation by those in the Caucasus region that the US was plundering them of a vital natural resource, and leaving them high and dry in the process. Many people in that area are Muslims, and have shown massive solidarity with their fellow believers in Chechnya. They are angry that the US has turned a blind eye to the reign of terror Moscow has unleashed over the past decade in that area. On the same score, the Kurdish peoples living inside Turkey continue to face brutal oppression on the part of the Turkish state. Once again the US has turned a blind eye to this, seeing the Turks helping them maintain a firm grip on the oil rich parts of Iraqi controlled Kurdistan, as of far greater significance than the human rights of the millions of Kurds trapped within Turkey. So the North Koreans can continue receiving help from the Russians, and the Pakistani’s arsenal of lethal weaponry grows unabated, in the knowledge that the US will do nothing to stop them, as their need to maintain affirm grip on the worlds oil reserves, overrides any other concerns that permeate outside it’s 52 states.

What is needed is the overthrow of the various regimes from North Korea, Turkey Russia et al. These would be replaced by democratic governments who would use their country’s wealth, for the benefit of their peoples, leading to the creation of a fairer more just society. This would also have to have the abolition of capitalism, and all that it stands for, as the cornerstone of it’s plans. As a result, more schools hospitals, state housing etc would be built, and the living standards of all of its citizens would increase sharply. As things stand, those ideals are but a pipedream for the working class of these countries…

I find it easy enough to believe conspiracy theories nowadays .But ,without sources , reports like this one can only be taken as conjecture .
I heard someone on the telly yesterday - somebody from US security services I think it was -saying that they are certain (not confident, certain) that Bin Laden will be captured by the end of this year. Given the conveinient , telegenic way they captured Saddam, it could be that Osama will be served up just in time for November 's US elections. Maybe they've already got him. All just conjecture though.

the pipeline is complete in the west, in fact to my knowledge several pipeline options are available. The Caspian Sea component was laid more than three years ago, I spoke to a captain working the route, (a south african) the night before I left London. He was horrible, "the only problem on earth, is population, there are too many of them", led to the usual reply:- "and which ones would you kill?".
I think the chances of another energy war are very low at the moment, also the chances of regime change in either Turkey or Russia.
And to be quite honest, I think for the moment the "working class" [and former middle class] of Russia will do better under Putin for the rest of winter than under any other regime. _for the moment_.
So, I think you're seeing "regional" things but not really appreciating their true geo-political importance. On a geo-political scale, these pipeline projects are almost "done and dusted", and with a lot of co-operation between "old enemies", the pipelines guarantee the current Russian power establishment and that looks "ok" in Washington.
did you play the viola? tell me are you the Sean Heffernan I remember? How did you become a bolshevik Sean? What happened?

Or were you the Shauneen Heffernan I met so long ago,

In the bog below Belmullet, in the county of Mayo?

That long legged, freckled Shauneen with the deep-set, wishful eyes,

That seemed to take their colour from those ever-changing skies.

That put his flute together as I sketched the distant scene,

And played me 'Planxty Kelly' and the 'Wakes of Inniskeen'.

That told me in the autumn he'd be sailin' to the west

To try and make his fortune and send money to the rest.

And would I draw a picture of the place where he was born,

And he'd hang it up, and look at it, and not feel so forlorn.

And when I had it finished, you got up from where you sat,

And you said, 'Well, you're the Divil, and I can't say more than that.'

Oh! If you're that Shauneen Heffernan, you're fortune may be small,

But I'm thinking - thinking - Shauneen, that I love you best of all;

And I never can forget you - though it's years and years ago -

In the bog below Belmullet, in the county of Mayo

"What is needed is the overthrow of the various regimes from North Korea...this would also have to have the abolition of capitalism".

A strange comment. Given that there is no free market system, stock exchange, private ownership etc present in North Korea, how are the N Koreans to overthrow a system that doesn't exist?
