Shannon Watch Vigil

category clare | anti-war / imperialism | event notice author Wednesday October 07, 2009 23:22author by John Lannon Report this post to the editors

Peaceful vigil held every month to protest against US use of Shannon airport for renditions, the transit of troops and the provision of supplies to their unjust wars.

The dying continues in Afghanistan; the struggle for Iraq continues while the people there suffer; the US still holds detainees unjustly and inhumanely. Meet at small roundabout just before the gantry (airport entrance) to oppose Ireland's role in all this.

Vigil is from 2pm to 3pm and all who oppose US military and CIA use of the airport are welcome.
