Why shouldn't we be given the freedom to move freely on our own landings during periods of unlock? Why should we forfeit education for a period of exercise? Why shouldn't we be allowed to clear our own wings? Why shouldn't we expect to see our families on a weekly basis? Why shouldn't we be allowed to make handicrafts or souvenirs? An Ógra Shinn Féin delegation attended a youth exclusion seminar in St. Mary’s University in Belfast on Thursday 3rd August. ‘Generation X’ looked at a number of issues affected the youth today. It was attended by a number of young people and a large number of people working within the youth sector. The purpose of the conference was to begin to trigger a debate and discussionon how working class communities can begin to effectively tackle the whole issue of youth exclusion and participation. read full story / add a comment

This afternoon, Anti-War Ireland issued the following statement calling for an extension of Irish solidarity with those suffering in this conflict.
