Julian Assange free walks to a plane for immediature departure from UK
international / rights, freedoms and repression / news report Tuesday June 25, 2024 - 21:11 by indy   text 2 comments (last - wednesday august 14, 2024 - 12:38)   image 7 images   video 1 video file
Julian Assange is finally free and it is reason to celebrate as his condition had deteriorated badly over the past few years and at times it looks like the vindicative British and USA governments would lead to his death with the distinct possibility that if he had been extradited to the US he would have faced a sentence of 175 years in prison.

The change of circumstances came about because the Biden administration did a plea deal with him but this is not because Biden & co are anything but war criminals but because he did not want Assange's extradition hanging over the pending election where Biden's popularity is already dismally low.

So on Mon 24th June he was able to leave the high-security British prison of Belmarsh in the UK after 5 years in addition to the 7 years holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. ... read full story / add a comment

Sunday World is reporting on the forced shutdown of a soup kitchen in Dublin for the homeless because the group were not registered as a charity.. However the group say due to the excessive regulation imposed that if they registered as a charity their costs would escalate and they would be forced to make it commercial. And this appears to be exactly the goal of the government to stop any voluntary soup kitchens and so prevent the likes of 200+ homeless people showing up to be fed on Grafton street.. It embarrass es the government too much

The Hate Speech Bill is an anti democratic bill and is all about shutting down free speech under the pretext of hate speech. A reading of the proposed legisalation as analysed by Tracey O'Mahoney shows the terms and definitions and conditions are so loose that it can and will be used to silence anyone who questions the narrative or government. This bill must be opposed.

Germany once again has returned to its totalitarian ways as over the last 2 years it has become increasing repressive on anyone speaking against the official narrative and now as they have frozen the bank account of Journalist Alina Lipp. When that was not enough to shut her up then they frozen the bank accounts of her father and mother.

Big Tech which is a key part of the global totalitarian system closed her YouTube channel, blocked her PayPal account. The German state then sentenced her to three years in prison without trial for interviewing Ukrainian citizens in the Donbas. She has wisely since fled to safety of Crimea where now now her mother has joined her after the German state went after her too. ... read full story / add a comment

Aman Jabbi, long time Silicon Valley insider discusses the need for urgent action in order to stop the surveillance state before it controls every aspect of our lives.

Aman Jabbi is an engineer who was at the forefront of video and camera technology in Silicon Valley. He has co-founded two camera startups. If you have a camera in your phone, stream video or movies, he played a part in it.

Aman has made a excellent and frightening presentation on how facial recognition operated by AI behind any and all cameras is being used for the universal Digital Id for every person in the world and shows how this growing network of cameras and devices is creating a Digital Prison. It is already up and running in China and despite bland denials from politicians in the West that we are still free, he shows this is anything but the case and very importantly shows the scale of the rollout and the capability of these cameras and sensors as part of the "Smart Cities" drive.

URGENT CALL FOR TD’S TO TABLE A MOTION ON THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION’S AGREEMENT ON PANDEMIC, PREVENTION, PREPARATION AND RESPONSE: STOP THE GOVERNMENT FROM AGREEING TO A GLOBAL LEGAL INSTRUMENT THAT SUSPENDS IRISH SOVEREIGNITY UNDER ARTICLE 6 OF THE CONSTITUTION

We have received several queries following our post of 27th February. We have below explained the implications on a World Health Assembly legal Treaty or Regulation on pandemic response and, at the end of this post, we have drafted a submission that people can send to their TD’s to table a motion.
