More than 60 people from all walks of life - and all parts of Ireland (plus a couple of overseas visitors) - came together at Bealkelly Wood, Tuamgraney, Co.Clare for a weekend of skills training in 12 different disciplines. MAOR last week hosted a candle lit vigil in Derry's Guildhall square to mark their solidarity with the ongoing Shell to Sea protest in County Mayo. About 200 people have been arrested at Faslane nuclear weapons base in Scotland during a peaceful nonviolent blockade there on Monday 1st October to mark the culmination of Faslane365, a year of resistance. Among those arrested was Mark Chapman from Belfast who said, “I have traveled here to Faslane to uphold international law. The 'crisis of king's burning photos' is not finished, the spanish special tribunal, that usually deals with 'terrorist activities', has sued 11 demosntrators fro taking part in the burn of spanish king's pictures, they are accused of 'crown injuries' and face possible sentence of 15 months imprisonement.
