Why is a Northern Hemisphere nation, JAPAN, permitted to flagrantly slaughter whales in Southern Hemisphere waters? Perhaps widespread inaction in the face of blatant Japanese smugness, arrogance, contempt for the environment, the International Whaling Commission and other nations is related to the world’s toleration of criminal wars resulting in hundreds of thousands of innocent human casualties! What chance do whales have if innocent HUMAN BEINGS are treated as expendable? read full story / add a comment

The singularly profit driven Corporations have lied and lied regarding food additives, tobacco and climate changing pollutants. They only respond to VERY LARGE financial disincentives. A drive to sign up whole populations for a class action against these polluters is a great start for future mental and physical health. This action may also reveal the combination of additives in foods and the water supply that impairs the human will. Never before in human history have entire populations become so subservient, helpless and passive in the most alarming circumstances. The apathy and complacency witnessed today in the face of horrendous illegal wars, pollution induced climate change/GLOBAL warming, to name the two most catastrophic events, is beyond comprehension. Hit them hard and hit them in the pocket, the "class" of the action should include the entire population -- you and your children have been poisoned! read full story / add a comment

Paul Muldoon (author of Horse Latitudes) writes in a recent New York Times article about the destruction of rich archaeological and heritage sites along the route of the proposed M3. I'm a Canadian citizen, born and raised in Canada, who qualified from medical school in Ireland in 2004. I have been working in Ireland as a doctor for the last two years and have done my best to offer the best medical care to citizens in Ireland. After being in Canada for holidays,I had to fly back to Ireland, due to the fact that I had a job offer in an Irish hospital starting in July. My flight had transiting through Heathrow,London,England, but unfortunately,I was denied entry to Ireland by Irish immigration officials, and thus i was deported back to Canada later that evening.I am in Canada at the moment, quite disillusioned and disheartened. read full story / add a comment

Today, the American public is no longer able to claim ignorance over the real cost of filling their SUVs with gas nor are they able to deny their status as a hypocritical, ungodly, pariah nation. Few people anywhere are unaware of America’s dirty little grab for the resources of weaker nations. For every full tank of gas INNOCENT human blood has been spilt, particularly the blood of those least able to defend themselves, CHILDREN. When faced with undeniable and unpleasant realities Americans seek refuge in the unreality of their televisions or other distracting entertainments. The cost of the American lifestyle today is served to local populations for breakfast, however, the media is careful to neatly package all distasteful material in justifications, propaganda and flagrant lies (that have no currency anywhere but America). read full story / add a comment
