As part of the ongoing IPSC campaign against the Grafton group, who own Woodie's and Atlantic Homecare, and their aiding and abetting of the Israeli economy through the sale of Israeli manufactured goods, chiefly Keter plastic garden sheds and wheelbarrows, eight of our Galway activists picketed the Atlantic Homecare branch in the Wellpark Retail Park and the Woodies one in the Galway Retail Park, eliciting, except for some malodorous shite and abuse, a sweet response from passing pedestrians and especially in our walk from Atlantic Homecare to Woodies, with all flags flying, a very sweet one from motorists. read full story / add a comment ![]()

Two days ago no-one accused Segolene Royal of scare-tactics, dirty electioneering, or any kind of pre-Uachtaran vulgarity when she remarked that riots would greet a Sarkozy victory. Accordingly 3,000 riot cops were deployed in central Paris. All the riots where kids burned cars before were in the periphery. To the relief of the establishment the anger didn't leave the ugly quarters. Then Sarkozy won. Overall on 85% of electorate with 50.19%. In posh central 16ème arrondissement where he will now live "in a certain insecurity" he got 80.81% but out in ugliesville 20ème arrondissement Paris he only got 35.37%. What was ugliesville to do? Burn their buses and be ignored again? read full story / add a comment ![]()
